Help preserve the legacy of the First Couple of Comedy.
The mission of the Lucy Desi Museum & Center for Comedy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is to preserve the legacy of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz and enrich the world through the healing powers of laughter through its commitment to the development of the comedic arts.
Lucille Ball’s vision was for her hometown of Jamestown, New York to celebrate comedy in all of its forms, and inspire the next generation of comedy legends. What resonated with her the most was the concept of an annual comedy festival celebration, and Jamestown as the home of a thriving comedic arts center. We embody that with our programs and institutions including the Lucy Desi Museum, the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, and now the National Comedy Center.
